The options are endless when it comes to meal plans! Enjoy four different dining halls which serve delicious meals on a rotating menu. Plans are available for on and off-campus students, faculty, and staff, and are administered by the Mason Card office.

- Independence Plans**: Unlimited access to dining halls and one swipe per hour in Simply-to-Go. Great for students living on-campus without a full kitchen.
- Liberty Plans**: Weekly number of dining hall swipes. Great for students living on-campus without a full kitchen.
- Patriot Plans**: Purchase a fixed number of meals to be used at dining halls. Great for students living on campus with a full kitchen or any off-campus students
- Freedom Plans**: Dollar-for-dollar purchasing power in most locations on all three campuses. Great for students living on campus with a full kitchen or any off-campus students.
- Byte Plans: Purchase a fixed number of meals to be used at dining halls. These plans are exclusively for faculty and staff.
Freshmen and sophomores living on campus without a full kitchen in their living space are required to select an Independence Plan. All other students living on campus without a full kitchen in their living space are required to have either an Independence or Liberty Plan.
Students living on campus with a full kitchen in their residence (Liberty Square, Northern Neck, Potomac Heights, Rogers, Townhouses) are not required to purchase a meal plan, however, students still have the option to choose from all four meal plans offered.
Freedom Plans and Patriot Plans are perfect for students living off campus. These meal plans are billed to the student account and offer tax-exempt dining. Off-campus students are also welcome to purchase either an Independence or Liberty Plan.
Note: All meal plans are for personal use only. Bonus funds can be used for guests (family/friend). Independence plan holders are provided with three guest meals per semester. Freedom/Bonus Funds and Patriot Plan balance will rollover into Spring semester as a courtesy but they become non-refundable at the end of Spring Semester.
