Introducing The Eaterie: Mason Dining's Newest Retail Location!
Formerly known as The Rathskeller in SUB 1, The Eaterie is set to launch this spring, bringing you seven exciting dining concepts!
Explore The Eaterie's Seven Unique Stations:
- The Mason Mensch – An expanded kosher station that builds on the success of the Mason Mensch Cart. As the first certified Kosher Kitchen in Northern Virginia, it provides an array of authentic kosher dishes, ensuring students observing kosher dietary laws have access to high-quality, flavorful meals.
- Without Boundaries – A station inspired by global cuisine, offering international flavors and dishes that bring a world of taste to campus.
- Dress It Up – A fresh and customizable salad bar, featuring crisp greens, vibrant toppings, and house-made dressings to create the perfect, nutrient-rich meal.
- Doughlicious – A bakery station offering a variety of freshly kneaded breads and pastries, perfect for satisfying both sweet and savory cravings.
- Grab n’ Go – A quick and convenient station providing pre-packaged, high-quality meals designed for students on the move.
- Sips – A beverage station featuring a selection of refreshing drinks, from energizing coffees to hydrating juices.
- Subs & Such – A sandwich station serving both traditional and innovative subs and sandwiches, made with fresh ingredients and bold flavors.
The Eaterie is dedicated to sustainability, aligning with the University’s green initiatives. We’ve partnered with OZZI to introduce reusable containers for waste-free dining, supported by the Patriot Green Fund. These containers can be easily returned to designated centers for thorough cleaning and sanitizing. The Topanga app will send reminders for container returns, making it easier to contribute to a zero-waste campus. Students can sign up for a ReusePass at app.reusepass.com to enjoy their next meal in a sustainable to-go container at The Eaterie.
The Eaterie offers multiple payment methods, including card, cash, Dining Dollars, Swipes, and Mason Money. The new meal exchange program will accept swipes from the Independence, Liberty, Patriot, and Byte plans, with one swipe allowed per day. Students, faculty, and staff can use their swipes for a meal, with options to upgrade items at an additional cost.
For added convenience, you can order ahead via the Starship app, place orders in person, or use our kiosks. Starship delivery services will also be available in the near future, bringing meals directly to you.
